Not every lantern in the Blood Grove belongs to a traveller.

The Redcap Scout moves through the darkness with a lantern held before it, searching the forest paths for signs of those who have wandered into the territory of its kin.

From a distance, the light may appear comforting. A sign of safety. A guide leading the way home.

But those who follow it soon discover the truth; the Scout is not guiding travellers out of the forest. It is leading the Redcaps to them...

Armed with a large blade at its side, the Scout serves as the eyes of the hunting pack, searching for movement and signalling when the time has come to begin the hunt.
